Brief Introduction of GI
Fuping Dried Persimmon is produced from Fuping Pointed Persimmon, a traditional local persimmon, by peeling, softening, drying, kneading and creaming. It features rich texture, plump flesh, white frosting, bright bottom, sweet and delicious taste, and it melts instantly in the mouth. 
(1) Sensory Characteristics of Fuping Dried Persimmon: 
Frosted Cake: The surface has granular white frost and the flesh is brownish red or reddish brown; the shape of Hanging Cake is spinning and pendulous, and the shape of Flat Cake is flat and round, with the navel of two persimmon cakes together, the fruit is complete, the texture is fluffy, the taste is sweet and moist, without abnormal taste. 
Frost-free Cake: The surface of the fruit is brownish-red or reddish-brown, the shape is spun and pendulous, the fruit is intact in a soft solid state, the taste is sweet and moist, without abnormal taste. 
(2) Physical and chemical parameters
Moisture/( g/100g) ≤ 35, total acid/(citric acid, g/100g) ≤ 6, sugar/( reducing sugar, g/100g) ≥ 45, calcium/( mg/100g) 50 ~ 70, phosphorus/( mg/100g) 50 ~ 70, iron/( mg/100g) 0.8 ~ 1.5, single cake weight (g) ≥ 40.
GI Branding Practices and Effectiveness
(1)Adhere to high standard construction. The county party committee and government shall timely prepare and complete the development plan for the entire industry chain of persimmons and dairy goats; Established the first persimmon industry research institute and dairy goat industry research institute in China. 
(2)Adhere to high-level protection. Focusing on the development of the persimmon and milk goat industries, our bureau promptly selected professional technical personnel to participate in the key core technology "unveiling and commanding" project of Northwest A&F University for persimmons and milk goats, and made significant breakthroughs by formulating 6 relevant provincial and local standards.
(3)Adhere to high-density promotion. Through the county financial media center, each unit's official account, and the county's own media, carry out landmark product publicity, and make full use of the "3.15 Consumer Rights Day" and "4.26 Intellectual Property Day" to carry out landmark knowledge publicity.
(4)Adhere to high-quality management. We have timely formulated and improved the "Management Measures for the Use of Special Symbols for Geographical Indication Products in Fuping County", and made specific provisions for the application, use, and management of Fuping geographical indication product names and special symbols.
